Does anyone else feel like these last few months have gone by in a whirlwind and that the speed of it is a bit disconcerting? Oh, good, it isn't all me. Right? Maybe it is, but wow, it has been amazingly fun, confusing, overwhelming at times and utterly fascinating.

I can explain the energetic part of it as the increase in energy we are all creating spiritually is raising our vibrations and therefor also raising the speed at which things can manifest. I get that part of it quite well. What blows my mind is the connections that get created and the fun of having a life that makes you wonder, is this really happening?

As you may have read, I have handed the baton over for the mediumship readings to Pam Ellis. Meaning those that are wanting to solely connect to those who have crossed. While I so love, and can still do, that, my soul is and has been pushing me in another direction and I have to listen or I won't be fulfilling my own experience here. Contrary to what others may say, I believe that we are here to serve ourselves first by listening to that voice within and THEN help others within that alignment. It took me years to get that but now that I do, I can't pretend to want to offer anything but what is exciting to me now. Besides, wouldn't that make me a hypocrite to suggest that the people in my life from clients to family members to my all important friend circle, follow and create what they love and not do it myself? Yeah, I thought so too.

I knew this switch was coming. I could hear the voice inside me guiding and even pushing me to the point of now saying of course I will continue to offer readings for people. These readings will be the kind that so light me up. Helping YOU to be able to hear the VOICE within YOU! We all have it in there. We can all access it, but sometimes a guide is necessary to be able to utilize it. That is my love. That is what I do well and that is what I offer with clarity now.

I absolutely adore helping people to realize they matter. The dreams they have matter and that they can come to fruition with a bit of focus, releasing some fears and a little attention to their internal communication system.

So, if...

• you are having difficulty hearing that all important voice within. I'm your gal. 
• you want to live a life where your brain, soul, gut, heart and spirit all speak the same language; well, I can help with that too.

These are a few areas, there are as many as there are people on this Earth, that I have seen the most requests from my clients over the last few years and it is where I choose to focus by blending the intuitive gifts I have, with the training in coaching and Belief Re-patterning along with my, let's call it, direct approach. As I said to someone recently, if you want to go to someone who will blow smoke and tell you all is well, go for it. If you want to actually change and enhance your life; come work with me. There may be tears, that is life, but I promise you will like you and hey, I give really good hugs I am told. There may be hugs.

I chose that name because being enterprising is about reinvention and following your heart so that the service you offer is authentic. I have to be authentically me.

...but it doesn't have to be. Whatever the struggle is about, it has occurred to me often before that we fight the movement of forward motion. I see it a lot and I know I have been lately. As much as things have changed since July, I find myself wanting to sit still and not change too much more. While I know this is not possible as life is all about change, my system seems to want to hit that pause button on the dvr of life. This is fine if we are talking taking a break, nap or a time out but if it becomes a way of operating, it can down right painful.

We as humans make things so difficult sometimes. I can make it so hard on myself if it means it will effect another person.  Specifically, I have been going back and forth on a business decision for over six months now. So, to be clear, since before Howard, the dude, husband and vice president of our company, croaked. We talked about it a lot before he went in the hospital and even when he came home on hospice. To the point, where his response was always, "you have to do what's best for you, Hon." "Yeah, that's a lot of help", I would say to him.

This week I completely get what he was talking about. I do have to do what's best for me and at this time, it is to not take any appointments where clients want to specifically communicate with those who have crossed. While this has become a smaller part of the work I do over the last few years, it has also become much more challenging for me to do. Read: So incredibly painful I have all I can do to be upright after a session.

It is so hard for me admit that I have a hard time doing something. Do you have this fun part of your personality too? I can easily hire someone for a job I don't know how to do and be happy to pay them, but to choose to stop doing something I can obviously do, feels a bit like quitting. I'm very much a suck it up buttercup when it comes to myself. I can have compassion for another and their conflict while expecting unreasonable levels of performance from myself. Most of the time, I love this about myself. I like a goal, target, carrot, intention or dream. This week I realized this isn't serving myself and it certainly isn't serving my clients, to whom I am so grateful, if I ask them to listen to self but don't do so as well.

This gratitude is what has had me doing the sessions this long. I am so appreciative of the trust people place in me and so freaking proud of the ethics I have held in my work. It is also because of these ethics that I felt I had to say something. I could have let it be quietly known or leave it to Donna to tell people, but I feel honesty is always the best policy.

Since my friend Dave passed in March, the communications from those who have crossed have been comforting and affirming of what I have always known; croaking is a good thing. When Howard passed in August, they have been as well, but I find it challenging to do my growing process while tapping into the realm where they are, which is where your loved one are too. It turns out I may be human after all!

I felt like I would be a hypocrite if I asked people to be themselves and listen to their hearts and not do that myself. My heart is hurting and my abilities don't give me a free pass on that. I feel my clients pain when they come in and while I can support someone who is grieving quite well, to feel the pain of their process related to someone passing while communicating with that soul, has become emotionally debilitating. NOT a fun place to be!

To be clear, I will still be doing readings, coaching and Belief Re-patterning as I have done for almost fifteen years. The abilities I use to do this actually come in two different forms. So, I can turn down the medium aspect of my work and be quite strong, even more clear, in helping people to see their paths.  I will still be offering the guidance and my special blend of intuition, tools and belief in others. It will now be with the clarity of knowing that while those on the other side continue to support us in a session, their messages will need to be felt by you, for you. Which is very possible if you would open up to being able to communicate yourself.

As I was reminded today, all is well. Deciding to focus on my Belief Re-patterning and intuitive coaching business, where my strengths are right now, brings healing too. What it also gives me is an appreciation and knowing that when I listen to me, I can be of the most help to others.

I do hope you realize that you never really needed a medium to communicate with those who have crossed. Your heart does that. I was simply a microphone for your heart. It is ready to sing on it's own.

“For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice.” T.S. Eliot

I love this quote for the fact that it so succinctly points out how people see the new year. It is a chance to shift who you are and how you acted and somehow it is a magic eraser that takes away any marks of the last year too. While I am grateful we have such a great tradition, I believe that we have this ability every day. We can shift in any moment and we can be true to our language, even learning a new language, at any time. We have that ability. Everyone does, regardless of circumstances but for some reason we save it like prized dinnerware for the first of the year.

While this post is about using the time to help yourself as well as the energy of the coming year, universally, you are in charge of your own, I am going to encourage people to get the idea that they are magical and can decide on the spot to shift up how they are being and reach for that better feeling.

2014 is a year of opportunity. Now, every year is as well but this one has turbo fuel behind it. Energetically it feels like someone is manufacturing rocket boosters for all of us. Those that are willing to strap them on and do some clarifying and allowing are going to LOVEEEEEEEE this year. Those that are not so fond of change and accepting of others may not be so gleeful. As stated probably a hundred million times by myself, we have choice. We always have choice in how to respond to a situation, how to inspire ourselves and how to leave what does not resonate behind but how many of you are brave enough to stand in that choice? How many are willing to say, "this is who I am, how I operate and what I want." without checking in with the masses? I hope you are one of them because it is going to be a heck of a ride and you are going to want to check your limitations at the door in order to take advantage of the energy of this year.

What does this mean to you? Well, that is a personal thing but what it can mean is that you are showing up with who you really are and not giving a flying fig if others don't like it. I don't mean you are being confrontational, I simply mean you are able to say, I love me and this is who I am and I know that others opinions have no say in who that is. (If you have challenges with this, come see me, it seems to be a specialty of mine to help others see their own shiny self!) The ability to be willing to hold this vibration is what makes it really cool to be human, in my humble opinion. We have the drive to be better than last year with the intelligence to seek that out, whatever the mechanism.

Let's face it, we may be on this planet with billions of other people and beings, but we are still alone in the who we are as individuals. I don't say that to depress people but to encourage them to be good with that alone space and to truly love who they are so others can then love them too. You are the only you, do it up!

What does your voice say about you? Do you offer up kind words when talking to others and yourself? Do you hear yourself repeating how others feel and it isn't exactly how you do but you follow along anyway? Do you know what you really want in life, in this year, in this day, in this moment? If you don't, that's ok. Spend some time with you and ask those questions and don't be afraid to answer them. Honesty above all other traits is the most important when connecting to self and others. You may not like what you first hear and that is ok too! Often the things we don't like help us to get pointed in the direction of what we do like. Thing of clothing sizes, jobs that don't fit, friends that aren't real friends or relationships that don't light you up. All these things that aren't just right are helping you to figure out what you would like and hopefully you are open enough to hear them and chart a course of improvement.

The energy of this year is in complete support of our best selves. It is the most giddy energy I have felt since 2008 so I am so freaking ready to be in it! I, for one, will be adding to the energy by figuring out how I really want to be in my own skin and soul and creating movement to allow that to happen. Some may not like it but I am not going to hold back on my souls path because others are stuck in theirs or they just don't like what I decide. It may sound cold to some, but I know I filed a flight plan of my own before I got here and as the pilot, I get to decide where I go. Are you ready to fly with me? Have you tuned up your engine and checked your wings?

 Can you imagine that? Can you feel how it would be to go through a day and just be you? The freedom to feel whatever you want, when you want and be able to articulately express it in a way that brings awareness and completion to self. Of course, we all have this right but is the ability there?

I have found in my work that most of the time people do not even realize that have this right never mind having been taught to show up as themselves and no one else. Not the person your parents wanted you to be or your first partner or the boss who signs your paycheck, but just you. My belief is that if we don't start doing this for ourselves we will be missing out on one of the greatest parts of being human...us.

Unless we learn to listen to self and be willing to be brave enough to step out on the stage of our own lives we will continuously be shortchanging ourselves. I am not saying rent a billboard and tell everyone how fantastic you are, although if you want to, go for it, I am saying simply holding that energy of "I'm good and whatever is going on around me does not define me nor does it have to short circuit me unless I choose to allow it to."

The theory that the world is ending brings that BEST time to shift how you have been living. I mean think about it, if it was ending wouldn't you want to be authentic in your last couple of weeks, days, minutes? I know I would but I also know it isn't ending and even when we croak, it's not ending so therefore my focus is a bit different, but I digress. If your physical life in this time was coming to the transition place, wouldn't you want the opportunity to look at it and see where you could be in alignment more or get there?

Well, we have that opportunity every day it's just most of us don't take it because no one is putting our feet to the fire and we are great procrastinators. I have been using the whole December 2012 energy to ask myself if how I am living is how I want to be living. Is who I am who I want to be? How can I bring more light and joy and clearing to myself, my body and my soul so that when I do croak I can have that all important meeting with myself and say "ya know what kid, ya did ok."

I am going to challenge you to do the same and not because I feel my way is the only way but because I KNOW how good it feels to be authentic and to be able to be who you are without apologies to anyone, especially yourself and I want you to feel that good too. No, it isn't a constant state of blissed out I love ya man, but it is pretty darn good to be in it the majority of the time and to know that when I am not, it is possible but also my responsibility to raise the vibration.

So, where is your life are you not being authentic? Where are you going through the motions and not living to your true nature, whatever that might be? You don't have to change all of it at once, choose one area and shift that and then allow another and shift that. If you need help, you know where to find me.

Use the humans tendency for drama and each time you hear something about December 21st, 2012, stop, breathe and ask yourself if you are in alignment with self and if you get a no, ask gently how you could help you get there. Yes, it feels a bit weird at first but once you get used to checking in with you, you won't be able to go back to the old way of hiding, or lying to self. It just won't feel right any longer.

For all the obligations of the holiday season remember to check in and see if you really want to participate because if you can't go authentically, then you shouldn't go at all.
